Analyst at the Prosecution Authority

Do you want to contribute to effective crime fighting through monitoring and analysis of the Prosecution Authority and the justice system? This year, the Prosecution Authority will implement a new statistical system, and we therefore need to strengthen the planning and analysis unit with an additional analyst.

The Finance Department is responsible for the authority's financial management and budget, coordinates the process for internal governance and control, procurement and purchasing, local supply, and coordinates the authority's environmental and sustainability work. The Finance Department consists of about 30 employees across four units: the finance unit, the procurement unit, the planning and analysis unit, and the local supply unit.

The position is located in the statistics and analysis unit, which is responsible for developing, producing, and analyzing the authority's ongoing performance monitoring, producing statistics to follow up the authority's operational plan, the authority's annual report, and developing and implementing new statistical products. Additionally, it includes capturing users' needs for statistics and analysis. As an analyst, you will be part of a team that works closely with other parts of the Prosecution Authority as well as with other authorities within the justice system.

Your main tasks as an analyst will be

• To produce, compile, analyze, and present monitoring and statistical materials to internal and external stakeholders
• To develop quantitative methods for analyzing the Prosecution Authority's operations
• To provide support in statistical matters based on the needs within the various parts of the Prosecution Authority

Your qualities and qualifications

You should have

• a university degree in statistics or economics or another education that the Prosecution Authority deems equivalent
• several years of well-regarded experience in producing, compiling, analyzing, and presenting statistical analyses and materials
• experience working with statistical programs such as SAS, SPSS, or equivalent
• good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have

• experience working with operational data analyses as a basis for development, planning, and/or performance reporting
• experience working in SQL
• experience with QlikView or similar tools
• experience working with analyses in public operations

About the position

The position is a fixed-term employment for twelve months.

Before offering employment, the Prosecution Authority may conduct a background check in the suspect register and criminal record. The background check is conducted on the final candidate.

Tests may occur in the recruitment process.
